KMOP Education & Innovation Hub, in cooperation with the University of Macerata, Italy, is organizing an Online International Workshop, titled “How Can Higher Education Become More Gender Equal?” on Tuesday the 5th of November, 13:00-15:00 CET.
The workshop aims to present and discuss the project PRO-GENDERINGQ PROmoting Gender mainstrEaming iN acaDemia through thE enhancement of gender equality and iNclusion in hiGher education and its substantial outputs related to Gender Equality in Academia.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Handbook on Implementing Gender Equality Plans in Higher Education Institutions & its supplementary comparative e-book and thereby explore and discuss with representatives of Academia within the EU:
- Means to deconstruct key assumptions of gender neutrality and examine potential ‘gender blindness’ when developing policy and evaluating policy outcomes
- Ways to deal with issues of gender-based violence properly
- Examples of Community building initiatives on gender equality with the participation of all relevant stakeholders
- Case studies of good implementation practices from partner and associated universities
